Go to the person

I was wiping kid #4's bottom today when the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart. I guess that's the only time He can talk to me; well, that and in the car. I was thinking about how much I dislike the way society now rebukes people. For example, if a person eats at his/her workdesk and it's not allowed, management sends out an email to everyone reminding them not to eat at his/her desk. The Bible clearly states, "If your brother sins against you, go and show him his fault, just between the two of you. If he listens to you, you have won a brother over." (Matt. 18:15) Then, here came the lesson. The H.S. so graciously, in His ever-loving way, said that I do the exact same thing to my children. I always say, "Someone forgot to put their toothbrush away!" or "Someone needs to clean her spot at the table!" Oh my gosh! I couldn't believe it. Gotta work on that one. From now on I need to say that person's name (hopefully not screaming it from the other room or as I walk by, but quietly to him/her) and the wrong that needs to be corrected.

*Since this is new, what I'd like is this: any moms who have a story to tell that pertains to this topic, please comment and share!
